$57 for the connector is so much better than the option of paying for a new oil rail...Now i have to get the other connector off and the oil rail connector threads repaired and hope to be back up and running this weekend or before. I really do appreciate all the help that is available here.

Ok here we go...update time...I ended up buying a used oil rail off of eBay for $75... Ordered new rings to go in it and they both got here yesterday. Did the rebuild on the oil rail and not to shabby for $100..I feel it was a good deal...did not want to take a chance at retreading the bad rail and end up taking it all apart...so the short list of repairs/replace done I the last two months or so...new oil cooler, EGR delete, 2 rebuilt injectors from ford, 4 new solenoid coils along with new o-rings from top to bottom on other 6 injectors, new injector wiring harness...that honestly was a huge pain in the *** to install...who would have thought...new transfer case motor and new locking hubs...manual lockers..now while I type all of this in I have the charger on the batteries which were at 10% since it has been sitting up since the week before Christmas disconnected and the weather has been pretty cold...so plan to give it a few turns over in the am to try to get the air out of the oil system in hopes that it fires up tomorrow after work...may get lucky and it starts up while trying before work but I'm not going to count on it....so I have a bout $2000 in this time I have spent on the truck in all hopes to make it another couple years...I am sure I will be back in it this summer to replace a couple more injectors to gain more life out of it...so wish me luck everyone and thanks for all the help and if there are any pointers I should know about during restarting it back up let me know....

Life is good in the Lewis Household again....Gave the batteries overnight to charge...It was cold outside so I told the wifey I was taking her car to work.. 31 is too cold to ride the bike to work...So anyway i thought I would give the truck a try instead of waiting to get home from work last night....So hit the switch and listen hear all the noise that come with the diesel...Turn it back off and on again to hear the injectors kick on...wow they sound awesome and try to crank it up....Start counting the seconds as it turns over..1..2..3..4.....20..21.22..23..24 and bam it comes back to life...Idles up high to warm up..look under the hood no leaks...look under the truck even better no leaks...go change and head out to work...its only an 11 mile trip one way, lots of construction for 8 miles..get on a nice strip and hit the accelerator...huge puff of black smoke and off we go....It is definately more black smoke now than before. I may be running a little rich not sure why the smoke but getting a little hesitation after I punch it WOT..will figure it out...with all of you rhelp anyway...It all seems to be working out really good right now but damn it all my radio quit working..I have 12v to the back of it but nothing when i hit the on button...oh well i guess time for a new one...Thanks again..
