The injector codes "MIGHT" be FICM. Check the middle plug for a good connection as 2,3,5,8 cylinders are "fired" from that plug.
New FICM in May..don't want to break seal on test cap and void warranty...will have to check with the scanner I have to see if the voltages are available on it.

So just a shot in the dark but does anyone have an exploded view of the cooler..Apparently when my brother in law put it back together he did not mention spare parts ie...two small o rings..took it back apart yesterday to check the gasket but could not find anything wrong...then on my trip in a rented suv....my brother in law called me to let me know his truck is running good..I let him know about the oil and he said oh yeah spare parts....picture of the exploded view

Ok so I have a couple issues that are my fault and hope to get a little help.
When I took the intake off to do the Delete and oil cooler swap I hit the connectors on two of the injector. Has anyone replaced the connectors with new coils? I found them at pensacola diesel where I am getting my injectors from. Plan to order tomorrow so I can replace the injectors next weekend. Replacing 2/8/3/7 and plan to replace the other 4 coils while I have it opened up. Should I get the oring kits to replace them on the other four that I am not replacing...
Also order of the the injectors are 2/4/6/8 drivers side front is 2 or 8? Also same for passenger side. I am getting codes on my tuner that 3/7/2/8 are not contributing...thanks for help

Have you researched Pensacola Diesel injectors? I haven't heard of them till now and did a quick search. They have a ton of negative feedback on various Ford forums. I know that's not the advice/question you asked for but be careful using anything other than Ford remans...

Not trying to start an argument, just looking out for ya.

I didn't think you could get just the solenoids? The connectors yes. If you're pulling injectors you need to reoring them. Are the injectors you are getting oem?

No I appreciate it. I have been buying stuff from them since I first bought the truck and have not had an issue..will look more though...my mom husband is a mechanic and he told me that is where he get everything from and no issues. The up side is that they charge a core but give you 30 days to return core before they actually charge it...idk money gets tight so kind of big reason I have been using them I guess...

Here is an example of why I mentioned be careful with aftermarket injectors. I completely understand the money situation, this is an area you don't want to cut corners.

Surely there are good aftermarket injectors out there, just do your homework.

Yep--there are a couple of good threads on here John Irwin is a good one--where aftermarket injectors destroyed an engine. OEM should be all you consider imo.

Some of the best advice possible above - stay OEM w/ injectors. Pensacola Diesel has a poor reputation - period, and injectors are not a place to pinch pennies. Sounds like you need to send some back

As far as the FICM goes, the suggestion above was to check the connection in the harness under the FICM - not to remove the plate on top.

Oh ok about the harness...I called them this am and they said that they are rebuilt but I do not remember the company who rebuilds and also talked to my moms husband. He said the last set he got from them crapped out after a couple months and told me the same to stick with stock from ford. Juts have to convince the wife of that. I did order the solenoid part from them to replace my connectors. Hope that that fixes the problem and will wait and save up for the right injectors. I figure get the two I needed for a while, replace the coils on the solenoids that I broke the connectors to and go from there...thanks will update when I get in it this weekend.

Can you post a pic of the "solenoids" when you get them? I'm very curious as to what it is they are selling you.

Well i have educated myself--turns out you can purchase the injector solenoid/connector--not sure if it's oem (says it is) and they are 80 buck from Pensacola fuel injection--heck with being able to disassemble injectors, polish the spools, re oring and get the solenoids--only time you'd have to buy a new injector is if you melted the whole thing.
