While I had the front differential apart I inspected all gears and bearing everything looked good no broke or cracked gears no frozen bearings no metal in bottom of the diff housing.
so I went out and checked play in transfer which is only 1/2 inch but I did notice there was some damage to the front drive shaft at the flange could this be my problem?
Yes it is. It's been like this since I bought it. I thank it's binding when it is turning giving the impression it's slipping. What should it look like?
Are the transmission and transfer case mounts all intact, something is binding that u joint severely. Motor mounts? It's possible someone had it off and put it back together wrong. I just cat see how it could be binding so bad in that u joint. Either that or your front axle is moving back? You need to be careful to look into this properly, something is very wrong and needs to be fixed properly?

I checked my buddy's truck 04 f250 just like mine his front drive shaft has a double yoke with the flange on one end drive shaft on the other. I thank they put the wrong drive shaft in it.
That could very well be, or it's out of sync by 180 degrees. Looks to be possible 1/2 inch or so to long to bind like that. Jheesh you can find the weirdest things heh?

Sure can it doesn't have the double yoke in it so I thank it's time to do a little cutting and welding
