adding upfitter switches

adding upfitter switches

I just baught a 2014 F-250 with out upfitter switches,does any one know how hard it would be to add them now? and if the wiring is there?

This is something I have considered doing, also. If you search you will find a lot of information. According to what I've read, wiring is in place and it can be a bit of a pain but not really a technically difficult job.

There is a kit made by Ford to add the switches....search for Ford Upfitter on eBay or go to your local dealer with these Part numbers. Cost on eBay is about 150 on average. It includes relays also as part of kit.

i saw a set of switches on EBay for $65 i think

I also am looking for a set for my new F250. The ones I found on EBay for $65.00 were the switches only and did not include the Module. The best I've been able to find were just under $150.00

I did it on my '08 and it is a pain (mechanically) unless you have really small hands and skinny fingers. Most of the project is fine except finding the plug you have to plug your new harness into and then getting your hands up there to plug it into the factory wiring. I bought my kit on eBay also but it was from a Ford Dealer's eBay site out in Michigan I think... want to say it was $135.00! Once it's in, it's sweet. I had a Road Armor winch bumper with 3 set of lights - 4" PIAA Fogs and 4" PIAA Driving in the bumper cups and 6" Hella Driving lights on the bumper's upper brush guard bar. I used three of the Upfitters to run those 3 sets and the forth to run my air compressor for my Hornblaster air horns. Nice set up... it was well worth the effort!
