Truck shutting down on me.
I got a 04 f150 5.4 and ive ran into trouble and im not sure whats the problem. So im up in the snow right now and every time i start to go threw some thick snow my tires start to spin out and my truck shuts off on me. It only does that when i really give it some gas and my tires are spinning. Could it be the throttle body?

04 could have cable throttle or electronic throttle.
1. Verify the air box is properly sealing and alsop that your air filter is not iced over, or collapsed. Also check the air inlet on the air box to make sure it is not frozen over.
2. Remove the zip tube from the throttle body, and with the key on, have someone press the gas and you watch for smooth opening and closing of the flap.
3. Clean the flap until it is spotless. I use air intake cleaner. You could use carb sleaner too.
If still getting the codes and stalling, it is time for a new throttle body.
