I was getting a OBD code 1211 so I unplugged the ICP on the driver side vavle cover and it looked like the oil was blowing all the way threw the sensor what seems to be the problem here this sensor is only a year old
Thanks
You can run it unplugged it will go to a pre set ecm psi will not run great but will til you get a new one just spray old plug with electric cleaner and blow out residual you will be good to go but use oem
Oil in ICP = new ICP time. You can delay the inevitable by cleaning it, but why?
You bought the leaker at Ford, right? Did you save the receipt? Nah, I wouldn't either. Go buy a new one from Ford, wait a month, return the old one as defective, get refund.
That's not dishonest if you got the leaker there before and it failed while under warranty.
Man.... I really didn't want to go here, but I want to help Powerstoke73 (and other drivers with the same problem): The ICP spiking is harsh on the sensor.
I had the 1211 code. Replaced the ICP due to oil in connector and the code is now gone. I also have an ICP that is spiking. Mine is doing it with the 80E tune from DP and the 60tow. I am pretty sure that it was doing it with the old powerchips that was in the truck when I bought it. I am not trying to highjack this thread, just lending a bit of credence to Tugly. I can't imagine it would be good for anything else either to include the injectors. I will try to duplicate it in stock mode. I am also subscribing to your thread so that when I get to the bottom of this problem or at least more info I can share it.
To the original poster: I have read other places that low fuel pressure and or lack of supply can cause this also (ICP spike). Do you have any way to test either. I should have a way to test both later this week. If any of you feel this is bad info, please weigh in..... you may help many of us as well.
