the front end of the engine squeaks but when I put belt dressing on the belt it will stop squealing for about 5 seconds and tjen starts back., is anyone have experience like this, would this be the drive belt issue or a pulley issue. 1999 ford f250. Thanks
This is my experience and I hope it helps. Mine started doing that and I tried the same things you are doing with the same results. It wasn't long and belts started shredding. I learned, after about 4 belts, the tensioner/idler unit was the main cause of all my problems. After replacing that, I haven't heard a thing.
In fact, it was that very same problem that brought me to FTE in the first place.....that is where my searching started.

Try a quality belt, belts from say autozone will cause this, try a good year gator.
If you ever get coolant or power steering fluid on the belt, it's going to squall until it's replaced. Those fluids will also cause the belt rubber to soften, and pack into the pulley grooves and must be cleaned out prior to installing a new belt.
Belt dressing is really more for v groove belts and you can clean your belt to stop the noise. Take a small brass bristle brush hold on grooved side of belt at idle this will fix noise and give it a renewed bite. Also they have groove depth checkers from gates.
