Hello, Im going to forward you question to Diane, she would know a lot more about these
Have I recieved any further response from MidFifty? No.
You all can form your own opinion.
Hello, sorry if Diane has not gotten back to you directly, your concerns in your message to us were addressed in the replies we have posted in this thread.
We have talked to CPP in person and through email and have given their responses.
We have taken one apart ourselves to show it doesn't fall apart like the article shows
We have posted the phone number and name for the representative at CPP that says will handle your issue.
We have stated that their columns have a lifetime warranty and they will replace it if you ever have any problems
I could of done all this in a personal message to you, but I figured putting all this info in the forum post would be better
I talked to FR. They said it would cost $100 to rebuild/repair the column. With the cost of shipping both ways it does not make sense to have it repaired.
The broken part does look alot like the GM part but I don't know if it is a direct replacement. I will hold on to it and maybe someday I will repair it. In the meantime I purchased the IDIDIT column from Jegs.
Just when I was ready to write this experience off as done and over I got a package yesterday from CPP. It was a new column to replace the one I had.
I guess the bottom line is that they did stand behind their product. I never did disassemble the old column to see what was wrong and I never will because I sent it back to them yesterday afternoon after I got the new column. When they sent the new column that acknowledged that their was a problem and they tried their best to fix it.
Are you going to use it? I thought you already bought an Ididit?
Yes, I bought and installed an Ididit in the 48. We are helping some friends with a 56, it might go in there or I really don't know what I'm going to do with it.
