I didn't like the one I got from napa, I got one off amazon for 20 bucks it was better than the napa one. The napa one wasn't very flexible it was hard to get it around the turbo. and it was too long 1/4 inch too long and I couldn't get wot with it. The only problem with amazon one was that it doesn't have the nub on top to hold the cruise cable on, you have to zip tie it to make it stay on

theyre very finicky, replaced mine with one off a gasser, looked identical, had a slight twist in where it mounted up, caused it to come out of the bracket one day and had to rig it to get home. replaced it with one off another IDI. Take up the slack with zip ties, put them behind the metal piece crimped on the end, by the pedal inside the cab. they will reduce the length. I read a tsb for performance evaluation. it said to make sure when the pedal is fully depressed, the throttle is wide open against the stop. for mine, it took 2 zip ties to make it so.

heres the part number and info for the napa one for an 85 IDI . Apparently gas engines use a 6" shorter cable.
