This is in reference to my brothers 2008 STX. Recently his ABS light has been coming on intermittently. There is no rhyme or reason to it, it will randomly come on and stay on for a bit, then just go off. It does t coincide with using the brakes, hitting bumps, etc. I'm not familiar at all with how the ABS systems work on these trucks. I know on Dodge trucks if that happened it likely meant a front wheel bearing was on its way out. Any thought or experiences with this? I tried search but am on my phone and can't search individual forums from the mobile site.
Just for grins separate the ABS harness connectors at each wheel and look for looseness or corrosion. I probably would put some dielectric grease in the connectors and try again to see if its okay.
It went from 255s to 285s. That was done right after all the brake pads and rotors were changed. Same 17" wheels though. No programmer. Also, truck is a 4.2 liter with around 45,000 miles on it if that matters.
