The new vent window seals I got don't exactly look like what came out...although it is a 64 year old truck and they were hardened in place and came out in pieces.
Does anyone have an installation guide or instructions for these?
If you do an Advanced Search on "vent window" or "wing window" there are many threads with pictures and descriptions. Be sure to limit the search to this forum. A picture of the new rubber you got would help.

Thanks in advance
So maybe I should have clarified earlier...I bought these seals from LMC part number 49-9350 Front Vent Seal Set. They were only 30 bucks and everyone else wanted $60+ so I thought I would give these a try. What came out of the truck were more beefy. They had a center section that pressed into the channel and then there was a shoulder on either side that would deflect water on the outside and provide a gap filler for the inside. The ones from Dennis Carpenter look more compatible and would fit better. Has anyone used the ones from LMC? They are a lot smaller and flimsier and I'm doubtful they would do the job.
After looking at all the stuff in my box of parts..I found the real seals....these other seals must go to part of the door. My bad...

Reason: made an error
I think you've answered your own question; you get what you pay for. The DC parts are an exact repro. From your description either LMC sent the wrong parts or has some cheap alternative that is not satisfactory. Can you post a picture of them?

Here is a pic of what I have. I'm thinking these must go around the door at some point because I seem to remember the door seals being in 2 pieces.
That appears to be the lower front section of door jamb seal, the flattened part covers the hinge and the 90-deg. part is at the bottom of the door. Can you take a closer-up pic? I think they sent the wrong part.
Even at that, the door jamb seal is one piece as I recall, all the way around the door.

Albuq,
I ended up finding the seals for the vents and they are exactly as the originals so that part is good to go. I will snap a closer pic of the seal when I get home from work. Thanks for the response and assisting me in figuring this out.

The funny thing was, there were some formed sections of the seal that could actually fit into the recesses of the vent frame. So I am attaching the closeup just the same....can you tell me where the fatter flat part of the seal should mount to?
