76 2wd Brake lines w/ pics

76 2wd F150 long bed w/ power disk brakes up front.

I ordered this kit: SFRB7601 from inline tubing. Which they claim to be for my truck. However my prop valve is directly under the master cyl and this kit comes with long lines out of the mc. I am trying to attach pics to show what I mean. My prop valve is in the stock location. Anyone else ever run into this?

Maybe they shipped me a kit for a truck w the prop valve on the frame rail? Would a 4x4 be on the frame rail? Or maybe the kit is for a truck w no prop valve at all??

Looking at your top pic, those lines look like the same as on my 4x4 79 F250 with the pro valve on the frame rail. My loops are right under the master cylinder too. I think you got the wrong parts.

Yes, 4x4 proportioning valves are mounted inside the frame rail.

Looks like they sent the wrong kit/lines.

Yep thats what I was thinking is that I got the 4x4 kit. But several sites all sell the SFRB7601 kit and the pics of it all show the long lines...hmmm now Im really confused..

Looks like you need the brake lines for a 75. From pictures, looks like 76 it switched to all pv located onto frame rail. Just means you have a truck built to 75 specs. Gotta love working on older trucks.

Diagrams in pdf catalog file.

73-74 2wd prop valve is also frame mounted, 75 2wd is just below master cylinder.
These are Inline Tube stainless lines on my '73 2WD.

On my 2wd 74 the proportioning valve is directly under the brake reservoir, not the frame rail. Is it because I don't have power brakes? Or because its an old ford and you never really can go by what the "books" say?
