I know this has been covered like a million times, but I couldnt find it in a search. Can anybody tell me or send me a pic of where your proportioning valve is located on your truck. I know its somewhere along the drivers side frame around the engine mount, but I cant find the holes that line up. Its been too long since I have taken it off to remember.
If you are talking about the combination valve, it's located on ours just below the master cylinder. Just follow the lines coming out of the master cylinder and it should lead to the valve(s)
The brake differential aka proportioning valve is usually located on the left frame rail inboard of the front wheel on most of the 1967 and later F100/350's.
The valve is a rectangular shaped brass block with multiple lines running from it. The plastic low brake fluid warning light switch is also located there.
There seems there were 3 basic places they could have been mounted from
the factory! But if you are refering this info to a 4WD some of the 3 basic
locations would be ruled out! Heres a link hope this will help!

Yes, i have the valve and everything. Let me back up. Im doing a frame off on my wifes 78 f150 4x4, and I was trying to get everything bolted up before the body goes back on. I guess my best bet is to find another truck like it and see where theres is located. This is turning into a nightmare of a project.
You should have a bracket for the valve. Then, it's easy to find the correct holes. Here is mine on my F250. Granted, I have a replacement valve, but still using the stock bracket.
