Engine Colors
I am trying to find what colors i should paint my rebuild engine/transmission on my 65 ford econoline truck. I thought i would chrome the perphials like water pump, generator..etc.. anyone know anywhere on the web that has this all listed out as it came down the line.

The transmission was not painted.
Somewhere around 1965 the engine color changed.
If you have the 170 cui engine, up through 1965 the valve cover and air cleaner should be a reddish orange. The block is black.
Starting in 1965 the valve cover, air cleaner, and block were blue.
There were no chrome parts on the engine.
