So I just acquired another 7.3 in hopes of fixing it up so I can sell my cummins, because I regret selling my last 7.3. Anyway this one has all the symptoms of a bad vss... O/d light flashing, abs light on, speedo not working, rough shifting etc.
So today I replaced the vss in the rear diff, old one was cracked, so I figured this had to be the issue. Once I replaced the sensor I started the truck and the abs light was off, until I accelerated then everything came back on, so I just parked it. Any idea why a new sensor would "fix" this issue only temporarily??? I'm stumped
