ABS light on/Speedometer Not Working

Hello
Havent been here in a while and now with a 16 yo driver in the house my old F-150 is my vehicle for daily use. 1992 F150 4.9 Manual.

On Monday I jumped in and it started up fine. Back out and start towards work. Hadnt traveled more than 100 feet and the ABS light came on and then I noticed the speedometer wasnt working the needle was at zero. The digital odometer display shows up but it isnt advancing. Checked fuses and they are fine. Any ideas as to how I can fix these two problems. Any and all advice will be greatly appreciate.

check the VSS sensor in the rear end its probably bad or unplugged

Bad VSS or wiring to it, would be my guess.

Ok, thanks guys. Where is the VSS located and what does it look like? IF anyone have a pic it would be of great help.

It's at the end of the only wire going into the rear differential housing.

Before I crawl under there on a scale of 1-10 how tough s it to change if needed?

its about a 3 if its dirty haha...

its easier than changing a spark plug

92 f-150 speedometer reset

this works on a few other years to. to test/reset if your psom is working speedometer cluster. hold reset on the trip and turn the key to on (dont start it). the needle should go all the way up if it works. after i did this my needle when i turn the key on it floats off the pin. Will let you know if my speedo works in the morning. From what i understand if your speedo moves all the way when testing/reseting and does not work when you road test it the problem is somewhere else
