Radiator (Dimensions) for a 1979 F150

Hey Folks, I'm looking at radiators for my F150 and surprise, surprise, Ford had many different versions/sizes. I don't have the old radiator - my project started 10+ years ago and in two different states and I'm pretty certain it wasn't the humongous Super Cool version. Anyway, the mounting holes between the core support are at 28.5" width wise and it seems only Champion Radiator has a radiator that matches my specs. Not too thrilled with spending all this time trying to use USA parts only to end up with a 'Made in China' radiator. May seem petty, but I'll pay the extra for USA made. I've contacted Griffin and they're helping a bit, but their first suggestion was way off. Be Cool doesn't have anything of an exact fit and USA Radiator only has the Super Cool version. Anybody else go through this and succeed?

When I did my '78 make, model, year and engine did the trick at AZ. I picked the higher capacity version for mine at around $230. Below is for a 4wd with 351m which may or may not be what you have. As far as country of manufacture, I don't know. Mine has been in around 2 years and works fine.

Standard/XtraCooling/A/C radiators: 19 3/4" high x 26 1/4" wide.

Super Cooling radiator: 24 3/4" high x 26 1/4" wide.

Note: TWO different radiator supports were used with round headlamps.

The Super Cooling radiator support has a larger opening radius, than the Standard/Xtra Cooling and A/C radiators.

1978/79's with rectangular headlamps use a different radiator support than with round headlamps.
