Igniter 2 regulator issue

Igniter 2 regulator issue
So I have a 1965 ford f100 with a 240 i6 I recently upgrade to an igniter 2 electronic ignition and noticed the regulator started to make a clicking sound. So my question is: how can I bypass the regulator? Or is there a modern regulator I could swap? Also, I found an alternator with an internal regulator, will that work?

Everything functioned normally when I had points. I should mention I upgraded the coil when I did the ignition. The problems have started with the ign /coil upgrade. How would I check for a ground problem?
