Voltage Regulator + Condensor?

Voltage Regulator + Condensor?
Alternator gauge readings have been all over the map, swapped voltage regular from my other 65 and seems to have solved the issue. Now looking for a replacement and I assume the condenser is necessary, if so, would a condenser for the alternator work? Appreciate suggestions as to source for both regulator and condenser.

Point type alternator voltage regulator same 1963/64 Thunderbird and 1965/81 everything.
In 1982, Ford replaced the point type regulator w/an electronic regulator, wiring harness is the same.
The 'condenser' mounted on the regulator is actually a "radio voltage regulator noise capacitor."
