Repetitive 0603 code`
I keep getting a repetitive 0603 for KAM memory failure.
What is going on with that? Am I in for a PCM/ECU failure or am I going to go on a wiring fishing trip!

Take a look at the PCM connectors and check for corrosion.

Pcm is resetting, vref short, bad injector coil or you have really crappy batteries

It tossed a # 5 injector code a week ago. Cleared it and haven't seen it since. Truck is driving fine.

So is it a sensor error? Or am I missing something else going on?
In your earlier post you mentioned a bad injector coil would set the 0603 code. Why would that be?
What is Vref? Reference Voltage?

All the sensors need a base voltage so they can
operate. Vref is that power. It is a regulated power
feed to sensory that use variable resistance and the
PCM looks at what it gets back from the sensor and
that is compared to the Vref. One thing that drove Miles
up the tree was the short in the EBP. Vref was shorting out
and making him look at the accelerator circuit.
Am I making any sense? I think I can explain it different if you need me to.
Sean
EDIT : Found you some goodies.

A p0603 is a kam code. Keep alive memory.
You wont find it in any book but a faulty injector coil can cause your pcm to reset, when the coil shorts out it will shut the engine down and set the p0603.
