Does the coolant filters list below are the only filter to be used for our truck? I found a guy that will sell me the Fleetguard WF-2054 for $1 a filter and he has 10 of them. Thanks,

Looks like the WF-2054 has an SCA (additive). Definitely don't use it if you have the EC-1 coolant (red color). Maybe OK with Ford Gold coolant? Seems a little small in diameter. Threads sound about right.
Chemical Additive: DCA2 (MODIFIED)
Overall Height: 137.16 mm (5.4 in)
Largest OD: 94.49 mm (3.72 in)
Thread Size: 11/16-16 UN-2B
You can get one on Amazon for $215.99 (lol, I think that's a typo or something)

Why do I over-complicate things?! Go ahead and answer, my Wife would like to know....

Too bad this won't work since it is so cheap. I am paying for the Baldwin B5134 and Donaldson P554685 for about $10 each.

I am using the DieselSite filter kit, and Delo Coolant CAT - EC 1 red color. This WF 2054 is made in the USA, I don't see the additive you guy mention from Amazon or on the body of the filter itself.

Curious as to what routine you use to change them out? Time, Miles, outlet going cool? Have you opened up any to see what you are collecting?
This is no jab, just wondering what some folks are basing their coolant filter changing on. I personally am not going with what has been recommended (change the 1st one at 500 miles, next at 6 months, etc.). They are big filters and can hold lots of particulate matter in the media before losing even a little flow, but that is my opinion, so take it for what it's worth (not much)...

Dan,
I changed the first one after about 1000 miles, 2 nd one about 3000 miles, 3 rd at about 5- 6K, 4th about 10K. It is currently on the 5th filter. The oil cooler and EGR cooler were change about 20K miles ago. Truck currently at ~164K miles. I have not cut up any of the filter to see the inside.
I don't drive this daily, just for long trips at about every 3-4 months I drive on average of 1,500 miles to 4,000 miles. Drive to work, 60 miles round trip, a few days before each long trips to check out the engine condition. Last year a few days before Thanksgiving, injector #6 die on me. Ended up change the injector and clean all the spool and O-Rings of the remaing driver side injectors, including the nipple cup O-Rings. Haven't touch the passenger side yet since the engine seem to run fine.
