95 Econoline shutting off while driving

1995 Club Wagon
4.9l I-6
C6 Trans.

While driving down the road at any given time the van will lose all power even electrical but regains immediately. What happens is ill be driving normally, then out of nowhere the gauges on dash peg out, then anything electrical being used loses all current, such as headlights, tail lights, radio, fuel pump etc...EVERYTHING.
The van then recovers instantly, but goes into the same sequence of shutting on and off a couple times a second, until a few miles later then it will clear up and driving as usual.
I have done every basic check of wiring for anything loose frayed etc, have hooked my equus code reader which shows no codes of course.
I cannot replicate it, ive even driven through series of potholes to see if jarring it will make it happen, and have no idea where to start on this one. Some days I can go 140 miles no problems, but some days its out of control. But lately its becoming an everyday thing, yet in 140 miles of driving it occurs about 2-3 miles out of 140....very intermittent
Open to any suggestions, hoping someone else has had this problem before.

The loss of all electrical power strongly suggests a ground connection somewhere has become intermittent. I'd start searching and checking all larger ground connections beginning at the battery then working through the rest of the chassis. Even though you've done the basic check this aspect needs very careful attention.

I think you have OBD and I'm not familiar with that system. It still seems odd no codes are shown though.

This could also be within the ignition switch OR the ECM---tough to tell really. Naturally none of what I've added is specific enough to solve this for you. If there's an upside whatever this is will be small albeit tough to find.

Best of luck!

Simple?

Don't overlook something as simple as a faulty battery cable (corroded inside). Possibly heat related from current flow. don't give up, you'll find it.
Good luck..jack
