I want to replace my E4OD in my 94 f350 ccdrw 7.3 IDIT diesel with the ZF5 or ZF6 manual transmission and am currently gathering parts to do so but I am not entirely sure what all I will need, the guy at the junkyard that I use regularly wants to make me a package deal on the following from a 1997 f350 ccsrw with a powerstroke:
ZF5 transmission
crossmember
pedal assembly
clutch master cylinder
slave cylinder
hydraulic line
driveshaft
trans tunnel
shifter with boot/cover/hardware etc
All for $850.00 which will leave me needing to buy a clutch and flywheel, fluid, u-joints, grease and a new trans mount. What else do I need to make this right, I want all my accessories( cruise control, reverse lights, starter interlock) to work right when I am done I dont want my truck to be ghetto rigged when I am done so any advice will be greatly appreciated! Thanks
$850 is a damn good price for all that.
here in the northeast, you will pay between $750 and $1500 just for a diesel trans, depending on 2 wheel (low price) or 4 wheel drive. (high price)
No mention of a steering column without the shift arm for the auto or a cluster without indicator. (or just a blank off plate)
can I just remove the shifter arm and install the trim off a manual column or do i have to change the whole column? I would prefer to leave in my old steering column because i just had it rebuilt 4 months ago. Thanks
Thanks folks for the help I will be picking up the parts in the next few days I hope but I think my Injector pump has one foot in the grave and the other on a bananna peel so we will have to see what that takes to fix!
