I got the switches back in to the dash and gauge cluster completely wired and installed , also covered the door panels in foam then the Oatmeal tweed material . and layed the carpet in place so the fold lines will flatten out

I knew i was going to get some negativity on the door panels .
I had the door panels painted when had truck done the paint was already chipped to hell , so i decide covering them with material would give a softer look and last a little longer . They look alot better in person the color kinda washes out the body lines in the pics.

Oh yes, I had to remove all the old paint off mind that was sprayed on my inner door panels yrs ago just before having my truck painted back in 1994.
I'd say it was never sanded or roughed up enough to make a good lasting bond, just wiped clean an painted.

I've now just finished removing all the paint from the door jams as it was starting to peel off. And cleaned out all the old seam sealer from the under side of the drip rail.
And had to repaired a few little rust bubbles in the lower door sill area. Now it's all primed.

Slowly getting it really for new paint have a good number old bed moulding holes to fill from the ranger 3.5/8" wide trim. I'll replace it with the correct size 1.5" sport custom
one.

The door panels look way better on the door than they did on the bench. Glad you showed both pictures, like your choice on the gauges, keep up the good work.

what type of carpet are you using? love the tweed but would have used a darker colour to pop them a wee bit.
