idi head swap?
So im getting ready to pull my top end off my 94 k-code turbo 7.3l idi. Im am suspecting (and hoping) it needs new head gaskets. However I want to have a back up plan just in case its worse than just gaskets. In case I have an irrepairable damage to my heads I want to know my options. I am wondering if I can take heads from a non turbo 7.3l or 6.9l and put them on my motor with my turbo. There are multiple n/a trucks in a junk yard in town. Is this possible or is it a bad idea?and if its ok what years are better to get heads from if there are any differences

So im condemning the bottom end however before I condemned the bottom end I had the head resurfaced and new valve springs put on. So nowI am looking at putting a 6.9 short block in and want to use my heads , intake, and turbo. Can I do this? Everything ive seen leads me to believe I can. It looks like the 6.9 and the 7.3 are almost exactly the same except I know I will need to use the 6.9 head bolts
