Heads.

Can heads for normally aspirated 7.3, be used on turbo motor?

yes. the turbo used on an IDI turbo diesel engine was an aftermarket ATS unit bolted on a regular IDI engine.

The factory Ford IDI Turbo engine has many differences from the NA 7.3 IDI, but the heads are identical. If you are putting a set of NA heads on a turbo engine, use the IDIT head gaskets and exhaust valves. For more details on turbo specific differences, check out this great PDF and read on from page 25... it does not mention it in the PDF but the turbo block is also slightly different.
