Theo,
You'd prob. be better off breaking them up in specific sizes, then putting all that doesn't sale into a lot. If a fella wears a 60 he has no use in 65. Just my thoughts of course.
Sounds like a plan. I need to get rid of them, because there is NO way I am ever going to allow myself to get fat again. In another 50 lbs, I will be in a good place. I should get there by new year.
ebay is the only drug i do lol i spend like a wild man i have bought so much stuff for my trucks and guns even picked up a sweet deal on a f-350 4x4. its hands down the best site on the net when ya can go from making 50000 a yr to 130000 a yr just by selling yard sell stuff on ebay its amazing what people pay for stuff others think is junk
I bought two vehicles on eBay in last nine months. Most recent was this 98 F150 Lariat last April. It's great truck! I love it to death. I keep on drooling it even it's parked on my driveway.
Anyway, buying vehicle on eBay can be a gamble. I had to go with my guts, since I know Ford trucks are built tough, that ease my decision to bid and purchase this truck.
I also purchase my rifles/shotguns on www.auctionarms.com.
A local news station here did a small report of how much realy weird stuff that goes up on ebay and actully sells.
So to make their point of how easy it is to just list something they put up an item on ebay. I think the money that they get from this will goto a charity.
I find myself using ebay for *everything*. Got a V8 engine as my 1st purchase. Then a socket set, tire pressure gauge. Am in the process of getting more manuals, tools and misc.
Anything you want, is probably on ebay, or has been there, or will be there in the future. That's the fun part, you never know.
The downside:
Sometimes their prices are out of control. I was looking for a FSM and their auction went *higher* than one from an established book place!!!! So ebay does not guarantee good prices. Unless nobody but you wants it. In fact, given such wide exposure, it seems popular items will sell higher than elsewhere. As a bidder, you have much competition.
But that's not true either, because there is no pattern. What about the guy who picked a transfer case for $1.
The other downside, there are no guarantees that you will win. If you really want something with certainty, go to the store and buy new. (If you can).
This ebay phenomenon known as sniping, where you post a high bid with a high reserve in the last few seconds of the auction. If you get really good, you will snipe with 1 second left before auction closing!!! I tried that a few times. I like to place my absolute highest bid within the last 5-10 minutes of the auction, and if I don't get it, I don't get it!
I think the idea behind it is, if you bid early, you tell others it is desirable, so you want to bid as late as possible. So all the action happens in the last few mins, really.
The other thing about ebay, I find myself spending incredible amounts of time on it. Maybe it is the first time user/seller fascination kind of thing.
I also tried to sell a few things. Should know in a few days how well I do. Some books and stuff from a parts car.
I don't want to go to stores anymore and shop retail, ebay has better selection most of the time, and especially on obsolete, hard to find items.

We have started using ebay a lot. At present we have some of my massive clothes, that no longer fit at all, and a 22 ft Haulmark trailer. The clothes are not getting bids, but there are 4 on the trailer, in the first 12 hours. If indeed people do bid the most in the last few hours, we are going to get a good price for the trailer. We have sold a lot of stuff over the last few weeks, all went for good prices, and we have bought some stuff also. I bid the amount I would like to pay, and no more - their proxy bid service is so helpful. I think of the goods, what I want to pay, and they increase my bid to my max.. there is nothing wrong with that idea..
I have an old car I want to get rid of, and will be trying that on ebay next week - I have no idea if it will sell, but if it does, it gets rid of a car I have no use for.
If indeed people do bid the most in the last few hours,
No, it is not true--- most people bid inthe last few *minutes* or even seconds. The art of sniping. Check out the forum of ebay dedicated entirely to that!!
P.S. I have some expensive size 44 that no longer fits me either since I went to 38 waste due to good diet, much like you. Doubt it will sell but to me it is totally worthless.
I found my van (2001/ 21,436mi.) on ebay. but I didn't buy it there. There was enough info to find the seller through other channels. I made a call and we made a deal $21k. I didn't get bid up and the seller made a grand over his reserve. By the way there is another van, only brand new, at the conversion company for sale. www.specialtycoach.net
