I have worked on a midget car team and would like to know some information. In midget cars, there is a universal stagger that works. It is a 3 inch stagger from the right rear to the left rear. Do you think that would work in a dirt stock car. A dirt stock car is twice the weight at the very least. I'm afraid that the balance will be too dis-similar for it to work.
Before you can ask if there were only 19 teams, there were only 19 stock car teams. There were too many differences between the pro-stock, late-models, and modifieds for them to be of any7 use. I only asked dirt stock-car(Hobby stock) teams.
If you give me until this evening, I'll get you a better answer from my hubby.
We had a dirt car for many years and I know the rear wasn't where it belonged (on purpose). I don't know if this is what is called stagger.
If you plan on adding any foreign parts (non-stock items) to the car, you'll need to check with the track rules.
One thing that makes a huge difference is how the weight is allocated and what tire pressures you use. I don't think any our our tire pressures were the same and got changed depending on how wet the track was.
