Primary Filter/Pump Drain Plug Issue

Hi All,, OK Here one you don't see every day, or maybe this happens a lot.

Just doing a simple filter change and the little drain plug for the primary filter setup....STRIPPED TREADS

Steel plug in Aluminum housing

So Be Aware all.....

What a drag,, it does happen tho. They either strip or are seized in the housing. We keep a manifold cover on the shelf just for that. Kinda expensive lil buger. Iirc it's almost $100. Throw a hfcm plug in it also,, I'm sure you already knew bout that tho.

Also The plastic fuel line connectors.. Are they a squeeze type for removal or the same type of release clips as the steel ones??

Holy stuff!!!! I guess I should start selling oem stuff too. I think 150 would buy the cover and the updated plug. But Julie would know better.

I have one of these and think its great. Question though, the o-ring for mine is bad, got crunched up in the threads. as a result I can't measure for size nor given for fuel do I assume any old oring can be used. any suggestions as to where to get a new oring or do I have purchase a new plug?

WOW, Just checked out the upgraded plug... One would assume that when purchasing the Housing cover, which I just did for $237 wholesale from Ford, That the upgraded plug would be included.

U No What,, Screw Ford OEM, I will take my old plug and put it on the lathe and install a drain **** on it. Ill spend 2 hrs making one rather then give fors a dime for there upgrade.......
