I had an "interesting" day today at the after school program. I asked 5 different kids ages 6 to 9 what 1 times 5 was, and nobody could tell me. Now I realize the 6 year old hasn't learned his multiplication tables, but the 8 year olds, and 9 year olds should have been able to give the correct answer. The one who finally did get it right was reading it off a multiplication chart he had. I wonder what they are teaching in our schools? Obviously not math.
Jim
My Minion would have no problem with that one at all.
The weather channel is predicting 20% rain tonight, and tomorrow so we may get some too. Would be nice, except I know it will only rain enough to get the truck dirty, if it rains at all.
Holy smokes! I woke up at six this morning, looked out the window to see a freaking blizzard going on. There was about five inches of new, heavy, wet snow. I went back to bed. Never did any shoveling, the temp was reading 42 degrees so I thought it could just take care of itself. Got up later to go to Carson City to do my glass work. Jumped in my trusty Wrangler and went over the mountain. This was after ten. It was still snowing but really wet snow and it was melting as it hit the pavement. There is still snow but there has been rain or snow falling throughout the day and evening.
Thanks Michelle. Couldn't wait to get out of the aircast after 12 weeks. It sucks getting older because we certainly don't heal as quick as we used too. Lol
Jim - I wont be able to ride Flamen for awhile yet. Can't figure out why it won't start. Loose wire or start switch maybe. The ninja still runs though! Im just not gutsy enough to try to ride in the rain yet. I even have rain gear. Think I'll stick to dry roads for awhile longer.
It's still cold & rainy here, but atleast the vehicles are rinsed off. Lol

Hey Greg, can I borrow the minion for a day or two so she can teach these kids some math? LOL. Yeah, I sold the Bronco on Monday, only got half of what I wanted though, but still it is enough for two months worth of rent. Also, I just won my first bid on U-Ship today, so I will be going down to the San Diego area to pick up a Chevy C10 (Looks like a 1970 model) and bringing it back up here to Clovis. (Right next door to Fresno). Will finally get some feedback on U-Ship.
Good morning all. My name's Chris and I've been in Nevada for just over a year. I retired from the Air Force last May after nearly 24 years in. Now I'm working part time at FedEx and fixing up my first Ford truck, an '83 F350 Crewcab dually. I'm chasing electrical gremlins right now so if y'all have a good wiring diagram or know where I can snag one please let me know.
Welcome Trackerrr to FTE and the Nevada chapter. I am sure you will enjoy your stay here. Thank you for your service. I spent 4 years in the Air Force from 76-81. As stated above, there are forums for your year truck, and you can find anything you want to know about it there.
Jim I thought of you yesterday. There is a consignment lot in Carson and there is a big truck, the type that the bed slides and tilts and a big winch pulls a car or truck onto it. It looked pretty good. It is a GMC but it has a Catapiller diesel engine. Perfect for hauling inoperative vehicles.
