What did you do today? Anything fun, good or likewise?
I had to go into Carson City to get my foot re-xrayed for my dr. appt tomorrow. Oh joy! Obviously I'm not thinking good thoughts about it & have a feeling I'll be in this stupid boot another 4-6 weeks unless he just says screw it...& decides on surgery after all. It's just not healing as quick as he thought & the last 6 weeks haven't exactly been pain free like I had been 2 months ago. At least this time I've been faithful to wearing this aircast boot thingy unless I'm showering, sleeping or the first hour or 2 that I'm awake. Hell, the Velcro barely sticks anymore because I've worn it so much!
I guess on the plus side(unfortunately) my new motorcycle - FLAMEN won't start right now, so I can't ride it anyway. Don't know if it's a loose/broken wire, starter switch or what. Jimmy checked the fuses & relays & they're fine, but I still don't have a headlight, markers, or taillight! So, who knows.
On the plus side...I still have the Ninja - YUMMY & it fires right up!
But no matter what the dr. says, I'll probably continue to wear the aircast for a bit longer by my own choice just to be safe.
Well, I'll update you tomorrow on what he says. Have a great night!
Survived Monday - check! It's raining...I love the sound on the roof, although a branch fell on the roof overhead earlier and scared the bejeezus out of me !
I know what you mean. Remember how many trees we have in our yard? We are always getting branches but mostly pine cones thumping our roof.
We saw a big bear in my neighbors yard about a week ago. The gal next door loves to see the bears but it was a windy night and a lot of pine cones fell on her roof. She called me around eleven at night and asked me to take a look outside to check for critters. There was nothing there but those pine cones. Funny how worried she was.
What 2 things do you find attractive with the opposite sex?
1) Good hygiene/looks
2) Old fashioned morals & values
Well, my appointment is a 10am & then I have to rush home to take my SIL (Nathan) & Kaedons music to her school talent show. She's going to sing Lee Greenwoods "God Bless the USA" to honor the past & present Armed Forces. Nathan was medically discharged from the Army a few years ago. I just hope that the music we downloaded onto a CD works! It shows that the song is on there, but it won't play. Either that or Jimmy is a dork & doesn't know how to work his own laptop. LOL Thank Goodness we thought to have a back up plan & put it on a MP3 player too!
Happy Tuesday Nevada FTE and friends. Hope everyone has a great day.
Donna, so do you plan on recording Kaedon singing?
Jim
I thought I had recorded it, but I cant find it or maybe I paused it thinking I was recording. Either way, I'm a bit upset over it regardless of how bad it got screwed up. They started the music toward the end, so they had to find it & reset the music before she could start, & then she started singing late because the music volume was turned down. But, all in all, she stuck it out & did prttey good through all the embarrassing moments. I'm proud of her either way.
I had an "interesting" day today at the after school program. I asked 5 different kids ages 6 to 9 what 1 times 5 was, and nobody could tell me. Now I realize the 6 year old hasn't learned his multiplication tables, but the 8 year olds, and 9 year olds should have been able to give the correct answer. The one who finally did get it right was reading it off a multiplication chart he had. I wonder what they are teaching in our schools? Obviously not math.
UPDATE:
After 12 weeks in my aircast...I'm free! No more aircast...WOOHOO! Dr. said it was healed much better than the last visit.
I will have a check up in 6 weeks, but so far everything's looking good. (finally)
Heres before & after...
Hey gang. long time no...see?...type? Anyhoo...wanted to drop in and see how everyone was doing. Ive been tinkering with the 77. I got the camper off of it (put it in storage for now). And I am starting to unf*#k some of the redneck engineering that the previous owner did. I am currently trying to do some patch work to where the tailgate striker plates are SUPPOSED to mount. the PO cut out the sheet metal because they couldnt get the phillips head bolts out. So now I need to reverse the damage.
