KINGDAR made a good point: some folks have unlimited funds and others need to make choices.
Where I drew my line personally on recent work, was finding the best deal on NEW factory parts (which sometimes meant they weren't warrantied by Ford), and buying maybe on eBay, etc., but for sure spent a fair chunk of change with Tousley (Now white bear autonation something or another) -- hopefully Autonation didn't fire any of the parts guys as they helped me with a number of things (what goes with what, since many parts may be included in groups of parts, etc.).
I read like all y'all read about something that works or doesn't, but 8 out of 10 it's the factory parts that work...

Nope, same guys are there. Great group over there.
Great Thread Josh , It's really kind of sad probably back in the day Dorman had some great stuff, like most Company's competing against Corp or other company's makes some take short cuts for the worst, For Exsample Dewalt corp out standing Impacts drills miter boxes after they bought Milwaukee their stuff seems cheep and I can't seem to keep a Battery charged for 1 screw, The World to day seem's to be China product on a harbor freight budget, ( you get what you pay for) it may last 10 yrs it may last 1 day , So the Moral trying to save a buck here nor there will Bite you at the end Have a Great day Gents

Watch the documentary "Death By China" and you'll be pissed at how things are going.
I have no issue with snagging a tool at Harbor Freight, it's cheap and I do not expect much. If my life or somehow else's is possibly on the line then no (jacks and jack stands come to mind)
I would use a cheap parts store ICP sensor on an 04.5+ engine, it's easy to get to if there is an issue. On an 03/04 no way since it's a pain is the **** to change.
