Going to look at a banks kit tomorrow and dont know if it is for auto or manual tranny. I have a zf5 in mine. If it is for an auto will it still work ok? What are some things i should look for or xtras to grab? Thanks

yes and no.

if the banks sidewinder has a wastegate (making it the current produced/2nd gen sidewinder) then yes.the cross over pipes will fit a manual or auto trans.same part #'s.
if the banks sidewinder is non gated (no longer in production/1st gen kit) then no.the cross over pipes are different between auto/manual trans.

While F250 is mostly right or possibly all right, im pretty sure its only the C6 kit that will not work with the ZF.

He priced $200 i will probably buy either way and make do. I assumed the.crossobver pipe would be the part to give most trouble making it work. But then again i am just a noob.

Take a look at the manual: http://assets.bankspower.com/manuals...310-v3-web.pdf
also, perhaps you can find a part number somewhere on it:
Banks Power | 83-93 Ford - 6.9 & 7.3L>>Sidewinder® Turbo System

I don't know how far away it is, but if they guy your getting it from is nice enough, maybe you can take the hole truck for the swap and give the rest back or haul your truck to his place and just put it straight on.

Went and got the kit today. Hopefully i didnt forget anything. Thinking some of the round air box stuff is missing but shouldnt be a problem. Turbo shaft does have a little play. Got a pyro gauge too. Probe is in the up pipe. Should i move it to manifold or look for egt max at a lower temp than 1150? Turbo kit, full headlight and turn assembly for my 96, overflow and washer tank for $260.
