Borrowed IPR- Please bring it back

For some reason we let a guy off this forum borrow a good IPR valve... Was to be used for testing and returned the next day .... Guess we learned a lesson, because 2 months later it has not found its way home

I realize there are good guys and gals on here that would give anything to help another member ... But something like this makes it hard for me to say

" Ok see you tomorrow"

Someone is being very UN-Cool. You go out of your way to help someone and they
don't return a loaned tool/part. That makes it hard on the person that loaned the tool/part
and someone in the future that won't be loaned a tool/part. Anthony and Julie do have
to make a living and all the little things add up.

I agree! I have not had a negative experience yet, and will continue helping out in that way, for those who are time and time again Johnny on the spot to help others!

I hope you get your IPR back!

I hope it comes home too... We had 2 good ones so at least we had one to test with.... And even if it gets left in the mailbox or in a wal-mart bag on the door, I will just be happy to have it safe and warm in the shop...

That is very dishonest on people that we help, quote items or loan items. To this person" you know who you are" please return it...

Maybe it turned out to be a tough one....and they're still diagnosing it Or maybe they assumed if you ever needed one you'd let know them and they would lend one BACK to you? Turns out that's how a lot of what I use to lend was interpreted...who could have known, I mean I didn't ask when I 'lent' it to em?

Now, all joking aside...YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE, return it!

Life is too short to be ambiguous about what you want. Trying to "out" somebody for something they did without actually naming them may sound like a good idea at first but why don't you just contact them? Be honest and up front. Tell them you want your part back. People get busy, forget stuff, and move on. Sometimes they just need a friendly reminder via email, PM, or phone call. If they still won't cough up the loaned item after that, start dropping names and make them a pariah.

Sounds like the particular member is no longer active on the forums?

I have called and text him, offered to meet him ... No response .. Figured if he still need help with his truck he would come back out , hoped if the IPR fixed his truck he would have came back and offered something to us for it , it was not new , but it did work ... He might not be on here anymore , I know that when we need an EGR valve for testing a member let us have one and a number of members offered to send one to us ... I always appreciate the help we get on here !!

Perhaps a bit of public shaming would do the trick
