Borrowed IPR- Please bring it back
I loaned a spare FICM to a forum member a while back. It came back with a shorted out power supply board.
Ed helped me out some on the repair cost. Took me some time to get over that one.
Sorry to hear that, this forum are one of the kind, I never seen any forum as helpful as this forum and the people here are willing to help each other. A few bad apples always ruin the helpfulness of the member here.
about $500, and kept blowing me off about it.
her direct work line was something like 714 244 2388,
with 714 244 2300 being the front desk of a fortune 500
company.
i pulled up in front of the upscale fashion island office building,
and called her number, and she let it go to voice mail, recognizing
my number.
i left a message that she owed me $500, i was sitting in front
of the building waiting for it, and i was going to start at
714 244 2300, and leave a detailed message at every number
about this debt she was deadbeating me out of, until she brought
out the money, in cash. (while earning $190k a year, she constantly
bounced checks. not trustworthy.)
i waited five minutes, then called the first number, the front desk
at -2300, and left a message for her.
i made it to about -2308 before she made it out of the building,
with cash.
i'm not shy. if i had this persons contact information, i'd probably
send them some phone calls asking them to return the missing part.
and if 288 of us did the same thing.......

If you're going to keep loaning stuff, take a quick picture of borrower with the item. Most people don't mind and you can scroll through your photo album and see who, what, when at a glance. Also, make sure you have their contact info at the same time. This lets them know you're keeping track.
It is possible to visit this persons profile page and see if they are signing on. It will show the last date and time on their "stats" tab and update every time they sign on.

We can all watch the transaction!!
Plus I only lend out to friends but things still stay away from home to long.
Something to try if you lend parts & pieces to strangers.
