Replacing ball joint

I need to replace the upper balljoint on my 09 F150. I am wondering if I need to replace the whole control arm, or can I just replace the balljoint? I see both available on the Moog website.

Thanks

I'd go out and look at my truck but my 1 year old would get into everything she isn't supposed to while i go take a peek. With that said, rock auto lists both upper control arms and ball joints, but the ball joints will not work with oem control arms. That tells me that you will need the entire upper control arm. I believe the upper ball joints by themselves are for aftermarket upper control arms with replaceable ball joints. I helped a coworker with changing all of his ball joints on a 99' f150 and was the same way. (lower ball joints and upper control arms).

I took a look again, and it looks like your right. I guess I'll get the full control arm.

Yup, you have to replace the whole assembly. Not a bad job actually.
