Ball Joints
Can you give me your opinion on this? Can I replace just the upper Ball Joints on my 99 2wd w/coils? Or do I have to replace the whole upper control arm? I have been told both ways and both were reliable shops that I would normally trust.

i think the right side (pass side) has a control arm with the ball joint mounted in it..that whole assembly has to be replaced. I think the drivers side you can just replace the ball joint. been a few years since i did one the ole brain is a little foggy. I do remember it being fairly easy to do. but if you do the uppers..you should also do the lowers..these are 60k-80k sometimes longer replaceable parts that affect the alignment.
