If I swap to a 7.3 idi non turbo in the truck can I put my factory turbo on it

 

Yes you can

 

Bashby is right, the blocks are identical, but some of the internals on the turbo version were upgraded for the extra turbo power. The turbo will bolt right up, but keep the old block and heads, if you ever want to rebuild use that motor.

Ah, thats unfortunate. While its out i would have the 3" outlet mod done for sure and check the play in the turbo.
