I'm looking for new exhaust system to do my trucks, and I'm wondering if anyone out there has a MBRP 4in cat back, or flowmaster 40's. I want to achieve a deep growl from my v10's and not a raspy sound like many of them have.. Any Exhaust opinions? any help is greatly appreciated

The Flowmaster 40 is fairly loud and resonates inside the cab above 2000rpm from what I've read here at FTE. I put the Aeroturbine 3030 on mine and it's great- not ricer and no resonance. Try a Youtube search "Ford V-10 muffler" for example and there are a bunch of clips there to listen to.

I have a 2v 03 f350 and run the mbrp 4" very happy with it I believe the 4" allows more space between the sound waves thus creating the deeper low frequency sound (no v6 ish sound) I never ran the supplied muffler that came with it I originally ran a flowmaster 2 chamber (top ten) but have switched to a one chamber flowmaster not much drone inside the cab even with my new thorley long tubes, although I have my muffler located just forward of the rear "t" hanger which is about 1 foot rearward of where the own muffler was very happy with the sound. other v10's in my area with exhausts most have that v6 sound

If you want to start at the front I have a brand new set of Gibson stainless headers, lifetime factory warranty header for about $200 less than anyone else online.

I saw a video recently, maybe it was here, of a v10 with factory exhaust straight piped and I really liked. I usually don't like straight piped gas exhausts but this sounded good

I've never heard a V-10 tone that I liked.
I went with the Flowmaster 40 as well.

I still have them. Apparently I can't send private messages yet. The site won't let me for 5-6 more days or something like that. I've been a longer-term member of a different forum, but there's a lot of group-think, and "can't do" attitude on that form. Someone will ask how to do something and the response will be "it's not worth the hassle," but that's not really what they asked. It was kind of annoying, so I looked for a new home for my Ford Qs!

They have a lifetime warranty right from Gibson, and come with everything that Gibson ships them with - all of the mounting hardware, new exh gaskets, decal, etc.
