I was wondering what type of muffler to get? My wife drives the EX the mojority of the time and she does not care for loud exhausts. I had a 40 series Flowmaster on my Dodge Ram and she said it was too loud. I have been looking at the 70 Series Flowmaster for the EX. Does anyboy have this or does anybody recommend anything?
I want something on there that gives off a good deep tone.
I have a Magnaflow on my F250 and on my Ex. The F250 just has a slight rumble that isn't too bad. However on the Ex, that rumble has a slight resonance inside probably due to the enclosed rear cab area. You might look into a Walker BTM.

I really don't care much for the V10 sound, I have tried the 40 (wife thought its too loud) tried a 50 series (i didn't care for the sound ) tried a hush power I didn't like the sound (sounded to me like a 19 foot weed whacker).
Best sound i found was a full size 70 series. I will warn you ,on a stock exhaust system its not much louder than your stock muffler. You will hear the difference (clean deeper sound over stock) going uphill or when you get on the gas pedal. Good choice in my opinion.
In my case, i now have headers and bigger y-pipe with duals from 70 series back. I now have the sound i was looking for (aggressive under hood and at the tailpipes). BUT NOT LOUD... Most will not spend this money for a better sound, but i am hooked on my EX.

I definitely would like to go the route you went LivinLarge....did you ever post up a video or sound clips yet? I don't wanna miss the chance to hear your setup

No, not yet... I have taken the occasional pic here and there from my phone and put in my gallery, i will take header pics in next few days and post in my gallery. My project has been just short of a frame-off restoration with about 14 or so more things to finish (about 3 more month to go).
When the EX is done i will buy a real camera and take tons of pics and post.

I will second that, cat back wasn't two bad if you kept it under 2000 rpm's, after that you will be heard for miles. Too much for me, but I live in a heavy residential neighborhood.
By the way, great site with 3/4 and 1 tons of information. Been lurking for a bit and just bought my first X. Thanks.
