Brake Bleeding Issues

swapped out my booster and master with a preassembled unit, then when bleeding the lines I used tubing that was too big and I think I introduced air. Should I re-bleed the master again? I got the back brakes clear after switching to a smaller tube but both front brakes just keep pushing almost foamy fluid.

What's "tubing that's to big" mean? Just trying to get the big picture.

I had attached tygon clear tubing to the bleeder screw and ran it down to a bottle. But I am thinking that I didn't have a good seal around the bleeder.

Gotcha, i've always had better luck having someone push the pedal and I would open the blender the close and have them let off pedal and repeat. It always takes way more bleeding than I anticipate to remove all air from the system!

bleeding the 'abs block' ?

hey fellas , just passing through and im having some issues with my brakes and I just read somewhere online that ABS systems have a "Block" that needs to be bled by a pro at a shop. Thought id see what you guys might have to say about that. I bled many lines in my day and this was a first for me.
Ive got a 2000 f 150 v6 4.2 and the front brakes are locking up at least i think its both but i KNOW the right one is cuz its pulling real hard when stopping. If anyones got any insight I would love to hear from you thanks.

lol. If it's pulling to the right when braking the likely culprit is the left front brake caliper being seized

stahlbus bleeder valves. makes bleeding/flushing a cinch. a tad spendy, but WORTH every penny. i put em on my bike - now i can flush/bleed my entire system by myself in ~5-7 minutes. used to be a 35-45 minute two-person job. more time for garage beer now.

Stahlbus Bleeder Valve (4-pack)

I've read a few threads that off the original topic questions have been asked and it wasn't liked very well. If my suggestion dosnt help try the surch tool or start your own thread. Nothing done all that wrong but I hate seeing someone looking for help bashed.

Based on the post you said about the caliper seizing on the left, I wonder if it may have something to do with the proportioning valve. Never did I think a suggestion here wasn't helpfull, I value any opinion , like I said im just a backyard novice and enjoy reading these forums. I have started my own threads before but sometimes I get better advice when I hijack a thread. Thanks for the help though

What I ment with seized is not moving so the left front is not working and the right is thus the pulling to the right. I don't think the newer trucks with disk brakes have proportioning valves? The one other thing I thought of is the slide pins the rear calipers bolt to can stick and as the pads wear only one pad will push on the rotor.

I can't believe I didn't get this concept,
I now realize what your saying. I still have to figure out why my brakes lock up when stopping, even on an incline it'll take a minute or so for them to release. I tried posting a thread earlier in march about this but no help. I know its gonna get costly but I just dont want to go shoot in off at the hip. I did replace all the clips and bushings with lube last year.
I did have to remove the re-called cruise control harness recently due to the fact that brake fluid filled the harness so bad that it blew the fuseable link . Fire hazard so i removed it . Thanks for your insight I do appreciate it

By "I still have to figure out why my brakes lock up when stopping" are you referring to them grabbing and sliding the tire or just not releasing? Having a disk brake drag is also a symptom of a bad caliper, this also reminds me of a bad brake hose. The rubber inside can come off and act like a valve not letting the oil back.

Actually , when I stop, it stops with a purpose. Even on a hill the truck literally rocks back and forth from the sudden stopping. So with the hose issue, that would explain why I am able to bleed that caliper as if nothings wrong. I thought about pulling them off and checking, ill just have to bleed again

with a collapsed brake line, it will very easily push fluid out to the calipers, but won't push the fluid back up into the line. Happened on my 1 ton pickup on the passenger side
