Keypad Card

Sooooo... I found a keypad card in my manual folder but I don't have a keypad on the outside of my truck. Does this mean that my truck has the capability to accept one if I install it?

I think if you just glued on 5 of those little numbers like for a mailbox , and press them , it might open ,...

I found a keypad code in with my owners manual too. But it doesn't have the keypad on the door?? What's up with that??

I have been thinking about getting an aftermarket keypad and trying it out.

I believe that some fords come prewired for the setup. You can look behind your rear seats to see if there is a control module installed. It'll be a black box with one blue plug and one green plug connected to it. The code on the card should match the code printed on the control module. If that's the case, you should be able to upgrade your truck fairly easy. If there's no module at all, it probably means that the owner manual & card you have didn't come from your truck originally.
