Hey Guys,
Picked up my 2015 XLT last night, and I've been looking all over for the security code for the keypad on the door. I'm not finding a 'little card' in the glove box. I called the dealer, and he said swing by and he can pull it by hooking up to a computer. If it wasn't 30 minutes in the wrong direction that would be fine.
My code card was on the backside of the owners manual sleeve or whatever you call the thingee the manual is put in to house all the documents.
Likewise. That's where ours is/was.
All the same, I don't particularly like that the master code can not be changed, and any "extra" codes all have to be 5 digits.
I would much prefer being able to program my own master code and allow it to be an arbitrary length. There ought to be a simple way to do some simple thing, perhaps with the ignition key, and program your own master code.
Thanks guys, I have triple checked the sleeve\envelope as well as the glove box and read the owners manual. It does look like it was missing. Hope that isn't a bad sign.
I'm not big on tearing the kick panel out of a vehicle I just spent so much money on and have only put a 100 miles on. So i'll just swing back by the dealership and get them to pull the code tomorrow.
Thank you, for the help though! I'll have more questions, I'm sure!
