06 Lariat 4WD problems

Hello, i have a 2006 4x4 F150 that is having problems with its 4WD. I went to use it last night and it wont activate. When i turn the dial to 4-hi the light on the dash comes on, but the wheels dont spin, and when i turn the dial to 4-lo, the 4-hi light stays on and the wheels still dont spin.

If someone could give me some steps on how to run a diagnostic check on it myself, or if anyone has ideas on what the problem could be that would be a huge help.

Its either gunna be your IWE solenoid about 18 bucks or....... your hubs are bad about 700

Yeah ive been reading about the solenoid. Is there a way to see if it is bad, or is it just worth replacing it for the new one with the housing around it?

Also, how can i tell if the hubs are bad?

Well with yours being a 06 theres about a 75% chance its the iwe. And yes spend the couple bucks and get the solenoid and if that doesnt work than its the hubs
