Hey,just wanted to say your ride w/5th wheel really looks great! My first post was asking members for help about towing mirrors.I have decided.to keep the western swing and have the mounts powder coated (stock) and have another mirror adapted to fit the frame. I just retired and was lucky enough to find a 94.5 7.3 F250, 1 owner who was a pro semi truck driver that knew it was much less expensive and had pride in the ride to keep it up..I don't know if it's just this year, but it seems that the noise level in the cab is loud, I saw that you have listed sound proofing ,I been looking at dyno mat ,and knock off brands as well as a product that I was told they use in nascar for heat and noise, called I think Rhino ? It's a roll on, can I ask how you did yours, I enjoy good tunes and being able to talk w/out yelling. Thanks for any info, Tim aka fishngdude.
Thanks Tim, my wife was on my *** last year so this winter I soundproofed it. Its a long thread but it might interest you. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...dproofing.html
It really surprised me that after doing the floor, doors, ceiling, back wall, firewall and under the hood that I could still hear the turbo whistle. Travis recommended a turbo whistle muffer off of a cummins. It goes on the intake and it really, really made a big difference. Welcome to the FTE!!
Bill, did you notice that one fender is red and the other is black? Just thought I would mention that, LOL
Bill i have to say you guys really know how to get with it down there. Dont listin to Todd haha. After all you had to come help him get his truck going again. A couple more weeks and it will be a dd.

I can't hear my turbo whistle. I keep wondering if something is wrong with it? All of my diesel trucks had loud whistle.
Looking good Bill! Keep it up and you'll have it on the road before the weekend.
As for turbo whistle after I deleted the EBPV and did the 3" DP and straight piped the old truck the turbo just SCREAMED out of that big pipe I had on it. It was almost too much to take. The guy that bought the truck sure liked it though!
We put the truck up on jack stands last night and bled the brakes and tried the trans out. The wheels roll and there were no strange noises or flashing OD light, so hopefully it will be OK. Gotta change the vacuum pump and button a couple other things up this morning, then I guess we'll take it for a drive and see what happens.
Thanks guys! I hope it does too for his sake. Be pretty cool if it does. To take an old truck that we drug out of the weeds with most of it's guts piled up in the bed and make a running driving truck out of it for no more than he has in it will be the best part!
LOL!! You noticed that huh! Thanks again bud! It got put to good use
The truck is basically together now except for the header panel, grill, lights and bumper. We have to find a good driver side fender for it, so we're waiting to til we get a fender to put all that on. I took it for a short test drive today and it seems to run and shift real well. The right front caliper is sticking, so I didn't go far and came back, but it ran good. There is a rattling sound coming from the torque converter when it's idling in Park or Neutral. If you rev the engine a little, or put it in gear it goes away. The torque converter I put in it came from a bad trans, so it may be on it's way out, IDK, but the trans felt real good and shifted good. We'll see I guess. Here it is 95% complete.......my son's first OBS Powerstroke!!!

Glad the truck ran out good. I had one of my caliper sticking on my truck a while back and I just pulled it as if I was going to do a brake job pulled the rubber boot back around the piston and squirted some WD/40 around the piston and it has not gave me no more problem's.
