Guys, forgive me if we have already covered this- CRS disease may be getting the best of me- But I need a suggestion on a steering wheel and column. My 71 2 wheeler has a very deep dish, small diameter steering left by the PO. I really don't like it. Is there somewhere I can get a new wheel that is as big or bigger than the factory 16 incher ? I'm thinking 18 would be just nice, and hopefully a flat one with little or no dish. And while I'm in the cab, how about a tilt column ? Is this something I can get new or should I pull one out of a wrecked vehicle ? Did any of the ford pickups come with tilt wheel ? I'm mostly an engine guy, so all of this is WAY out of my area of knowledge......DF

do a search for tilt column in the 73-79 forum and you get a bunch of info. the tilts were used in 78 and 79 but only in trucks with an automatic transmission and power steering. as long as you have that you can bolt one in your truck without too much trouble (you have to work out the wiring for the turn signal, it has been discussed at length). hawkrod
