Jimmy and I have a tentative deal worked out for a trade. I have not seen what I'm getting (a Subaru,) and he has not see what he's getting yet. (an 86 F150 shorty 4x4)
So that's why it's tentative. But we are both liking the deal so far.
The Ford has been sitting for quite a while so I went out to start it up but she would not crank. One end of the positive battery cable was hot so I yanked it off and cleaned it up. (Lot of the white acid stuff built up in the connector clamp.) So now it's on the slow charger.
I want to drive it out to their place so we can finalize a deal. Maybe Sunday, hey Donna? That work for you?
Still want to get somebody to go with me. I have been getting dizzy ever since I was in the hospital so I may need a back-up driver.
I will do some work on that Subaru in effort to improve the fuel economy. I plan to use it for my weekly trip over the mountain, carrying my art supplies. If it's fun to drive, maybe more than that.
Then I will clean up my Wrangler and put it on the block. It is a 2000 model with a hard top, soft top and a bimini. It has 10" aluminum wheels with brand new tires. Even the spare is new.
It's red, which everyone likes, it has those neoprene seat covers on the front. It is pretty much stock but it looks very cool. I etched eagles on the quarter windows of the hard top.
The greatest thing about it is that it only has about sixty thousand miles on it. Spread the word. Oh yes, I have the stock wheels with some older studded tires too.
So, she's fourteen years old but only 6ok miles and looking great with a new tires and all maintenance up to date.
Good morning Nevada, happy Friday! Had the day off yesterday, had to get a tooth pulled. Now that was fun....NOT!

Pat, so is the bathroom project finished or did you sneak out to get some work done?
Greg, bathroom is about 85% done, but I've been able to get some work done on the truck, also. Got the panel around the rear window welded back in, and just have to finish dressing the welds.

Hi Bruce,
I told Jimmy & he said ok. See you on Sunday! He also said that if you can't make it due to no ride...You'll have a driver/ride! We'll make sure you get home safely.
Our mechanic wants the car too, but Jimmy's trying to put him off because he knows you want the car.
Hey Bruce, what If I bring up the F350 and car trailer, and tow it over to Donna and Jimmy's place, and then put the Subaru on the trailer for the drive back? Then you would not have to worry about getting dizzy spells as you would be in my truck as a passenger. Just a thought.
I am going to have a great weekend. Going to head up to Lower Lake Tahoe and pick up a F150 4x4 and Bruce, then deliver it to Silver Springs Nevada, and say "Hi" to the Nevada chapter leader and her family, then pick up a Subaru and take it back to Bruce's pad, then head home. Should take most of the weekend I figure. Maybe you and your minion can go on a road trip to the chapter leader's hut and make a full blown GTG out of the meet.
So sorry to everyone involved. Got a wrench thrown in the works so I have to bail out of the car/truck swap. I really wanted to do it but not everyone in my household agrees.
