Good Evening Nevada.

Bruce how are you doing? My life long buddy from Hawthorne is in Renown. He was five units low on blood. I told him they needed to put in some 80-140 weight, or maybe a little Lucas Stop Leak. He has been loosing blood for almost a year & they can't find where it is going. Except he shows high levels of iron in his spinal fluid. He is 69 years young. He sounds like he is doing better. They moved him to a room that the next move is home.
You got to be real tough to get old & live.

Ha! I'm 69 also. Be seventy this July. Funny difference is, a couple of years ago I was making too much blood and they "had to" draw out the excess.

Right now, I feel like they must have beaten my rib cage with a two by four. I get some pretty bad pains and I don't know if it is from the collapsed lung, my heart or the broken ribs. Or all the above putting on a concert. Then for a final flourish, I get a migraine.

Trouble with being old AND having migraines almost daily is that I get screwed up and take the wrong pills for forget to take them. Diabetes is out of whack so they put me on
insulin but the blood sugar fluctuations cause me to get even more mixed up.

ANyway, it's all a lot of fun. Except for the pain. Pain sucks.

I was going to try to do a car trade with Jimmy and Donna this weekend but I needed to find a buddy to ride out there with me in case I couldn't drive home. But everyone was busy having a life, so I had to delay the deal.

Good Morning Donna & Everyone.
Yea, Jim my buddy will be 70 in Aug. I agree pain sucks. Compared to you my pain seems minor. Nothing I'm told can be much more painfully than ribs.

I have a friend that is an MMA fighter here in Arizona. I watched him tap out one fight when he took a serious blow to the ribs. It took him several months before he got back in the cage. But then knocked out his opponents in his next two fights.
Anyway Bruce take care of yourself.

Ouch Bruce! You didn't tell me it was THAT BAD!
Are you working tomorrow? Maybe u could come out after work if you're feeling up to it, then I could follow or drive you home. I know...maybe I could crash at your place & we could have a big party. jk Or it would probably be better if your wife & I went & did the girl thing so you can have some quiet time to rest. LOL!
Just a thought.

Hi Craig

I thought you were talking about your car lot friend. Sorry for the confusion. Please let him know that I said a prayer for him & that I hope he gets better soon.

Good afternoon everyone,

Happy Monday

I just got back from having my foot re-xrayed. Guess I have to wait until my Dr. visit tomorrow to find out the results. I'll keep you posted.

In other news....I went to Benson's Feed on the way home. Jimmy doesn't know it yet, but he gets to be the bad guy & give Lucky & Brie their puppy shots when he comes home. LOL!

Hmm...what else? Oh...I have to watch Athena tonight too. Wow, am I forgetful! LOL

What did you do today?

I had an interesting weekend, and even got to spend some time in Nevada. Some hole in the wall place called Las Vegas. Went there to pick up a Honda Goldwing, however, I could not get a room because of some race being put on that weekend by NASCAR. Sold my XJ-S and Friday the guy wants to know if I will deliver it to him in Oroville, CA. I agree and take it up there. He then pays me, and asks if I want to go to Vegas? I told him if he pays for the gas, I will go anywhere he wants to send me. LOL.

So, not only does he offer to reimburse me for my expenses, he loans me his S10 pickup to use for the trip (Since it gets double the mpg of my F350!) So I head down there Friday night, get there Saturday morning,, unable to sleep because no rooms available, so I head back the same day with a big plum in the bed.

And of course had to take a photo so it actually happened. LOL. Get back to Fresno about 4:30pm on Saturday, and go to sleep for 12 hours, then go to church, and after church, I make the 4 hour drive up to Oroville to drop off the truck and Goldwing, get paid, and then drive another 4 hours home in my F350. And he is going to keep my name and number, and if he buys anything in southern or central California, he will have me tow it to him. I am going to see about getting a business license so I can do this on a regular basis. I love to drive, and this seems like it would be the perfect business to have. I took my laptop down there with me, but because I could not get a room, I was unable to get online and check the forums. I was at McDonald's there, but was so tired, and hungry at the time I did not even think about using their free WI-Fi.

I was so tried when I was in Vegas, I did not take many pictures. I did get a couple of the truck, and I took a picture of that solar energy place they have south of the city with the mirrors.

Maybe next time if I get the chance to go, I will be able to spend some more time there, and enjoy the place.

Jim

Hey Jim, you should let someone know when you are in town. We have a spare room and would loved to have met and have a few cold ones. I don't know much about the Las Vegas night life and such, but I can offer conversation and and somewhere to crash.

Greg, I totally forgot you lived in Vegas. For some reason, I thought you lived closer to Donna. I would have loved to come over and visit, and seen the truck I almost bought. I was not thinking straight (probably from lack of sleep! LOL) and didn't remember to take the laptop inside of McDonald's when I stopped in Primm. Otherwise I would have posted in this thread that I was in Nevada, and we could have hooked up. If this guy follows through with his word that he will use me for other deliveries, and sends me to Vegas again, I will make a point to stop in and see you and the minion.

Kermmydog, I have been to the Bullhead/Laughlin area before, but it has been 14 years since I was last there. I doubt it has changed much, but yeah, not too far from the 58/215 path I took.
