I think Jameson is still in high school, lol. I'd already be close what with dropping the family at Seatac and all... what to do for the four hours until the meet was leaving me a bit stumped. I live up on Whidbey so it's not like I could go back lol.
My LPO also just called me earlier today and told me I was going to nights, which means I just lost half my weekend since nights is Sunday-Thursday, 1430-whenever we finish (usually 01, 0145)... So regardless of Jameson dropping his truck off or not, I wouldn't be able to make it. Already had a full plate this weekend and now I have to smash it into one day. Third shift change in two weeks, it's starting to **** me off.
I also work nights but it's a pretty set schedule. I work 6 out of 7 days and don't get a full day off. I work the same night as the meet so it gets kinda tough. I have to wake up real early. But unlike last time, I will definitely be on the freeway to the meet. I replaced my u joints in my Mustang so it has no vibrations up to 80mph. I've only hit 80 so far in it. Anyways, I was quite proud.
Also, I don't think Jameson is in highschool, I think he is in college.
May have misunderstood him then, when we were taking a look at his truck and Bug his dad mentioned something about him having them done in time to go off to college this summer.
I wish the vibrations in the Chevelle were as simple as u-joints lol. Oddly enough, if i have it floored til it runs out of gears (121mph per GPS) there's no vibration, only when cruising over 55.
On the Chevelle - I've been doing a lot of suspension and steering work lately. Try replacing the front rubber bushings, especially on the anti-sway bar and replace the shocks. It's amazing what a new front end will do to improve your ride. =)

It's not ride quality that's the issue, it's the fact that the driveshaft is meant for the 700R4 that someone had put in the car before I got it. Now it's running a TH400 which is substantially shorter and to compensate I'm running a 7" slip yoke. Driveshaft geometry is nowhere near close to ideal, and since it's getting a 496ci BB soon I don't want to do driveshafts twice.
To make up for not being able to attend I decided to take it out on an innocent mud hole with the Excursion. Like I murderized it lol. Pics to follow later.

AWESOME, that will be a sweet ride. Understood on the driveshaft vibration.
