I'm looking at redoing the plastic parts (door panels, kick panels etc.) in the cab of my '78 F350 Custom dump. Not all of the parts match in color. Some are original, and some are "better ones" that I've collected along the way. Is there any special paint or prep needed? I'm not interested in having it just look good the day I do it, but to have it last.
This is what i used on the armrests. Seems to stick well, super pliable. Its a bit duller sheen than the Satin Rustoleum on the door panel, but you would never notice.
SEM makes an excellent product in a variety of colors. I restored the red interior of my 83 Mustang from severely sun faded to really really nice and it has worn extremely well.
I have used the SEM "system" with good results. Wash first, then use spray cleaner, then adhesion promoter/primer, then paint. I got the stuff through Eastwood.
